OT Christians: how did you figure out what denomination you are?

Grew up baptist but I really have no idea what church I align with. How did you find that truth?

As long as you aren't non-denominational it's all good.

What's wrong with non denominational?
Christian is Christian
Christian is Christian
I grew up Baptist. Wife raised Catholic. I went to Catholic church with her while we dated. Found "compromise" in Methodist church when we had our first son. I say "compromise" because while we were raised baptist/catholic, we both were not opposed to switching. She just didn't like the baptist methods and I the same for catholic. So we tried out Methodist churches and both felt comfortable attending.

Asking myself this question is how I ended up Catholic.
Researching church history helped make my decision a lot easier.
FWIW, I was raised Baptist also.

Basically this. While Christianity should all be based on recognizing and worshipping christ, some people feel more connected in certain denominations. I would recommend trying a few different places and praying about it.

I find my values and views most closely align with baptist.

I just feel like it's a maze with churches. Even within a certain denomination there are varying styles and shades in the spectrum. Just cause you like the people or like the style when visiting doesn't necessarily mean you align with the church. Was just curious how everyone dealt with that

All Christians must believe that Jews and Muslims are going to Hell. It is the fundamental belief.

A burning bush told me
Is what they are teaching in line with what the Bible is saying? After that it comes down to personal preference and where you really feel that you will be a part of the church and not just an attender.
Don't get sucked into false teaching of prosperity gospel (i.e., if you obey God, he will make you rich and successful)

If you're reading this and you watch/go to Joel Osteen's church, I'm talking to you...

Best advice so far.
And find people you connect with, regardless of the denomination. It's the fellowship and support you get from brothers in Christ that counts.
By connect, I mean others who encourage you in faith and are friend enough to point you back to the right way when you doubt/falter.
