How many here work at a desk or cubicle all day long?

and how do y'all do it?
I've never had a desk job in my life, and I just got offered a great job with a huge company.....but I'd be sitting down at a desk from 9-5.
It'd be pretty dumb to turn down such a great opportunity, but I think I'd go crazy after 3 days.

Healthy snacks, headphones, coffee and my phone. Oh and I try to work as well. It's really not bad. I work 7:30 til at least 5. Salary at that.

You don't have to sit the entire time. You get up to get coffee, shoot the shite with someone, take a shite by yourself, get an hour+ for lunch,

I couldn't do that cubicle shite, but my own office with a door that shuts? Yeah, I could occupy myself if the money was good enough.

Most days I'm in the office but from time to time I have to go out in the field. You get use to it.

It is not bad...believe it or not, there is a pretty good bit of variety in that you are generally answering e-mails and dealing with telephone calls while you are doing your other work....every once in a while you have to get up to get coffee or piss and chat a bit along the way...generally, if you are in an office type environment, there is not anyone watching you every second of the day so you can frick off a little if you want...

I do for the most part. Sometimes I do tours or walk apartments, but it is mostly a sit at a computer job all day.
Everyone on here knows how I deal with it...

My job has been swapping out the little blonde girls that sit next to me every 6 months, kind of like a plant service, keeps it fresh.

I do. I've gained a few pounds in the last 5 years. I miss working in the field sometimes but then I think about the ridiculous schedule I was working and I quickly forget about it

I have a desk. Real jobs keep you pretty busy. If you think you'll be bored, then you're probably just free-riding into the office.

Since the mass adoption of the Internet, desk jobs have gotten a hell of lot better.

The transition from working in the field and driving here and there and just being out and about was difficult, at times, but I got used to it. I still have to get up once every hour or so, depending on how busy I am though.
