What did you think of McCarthy as OC?

Did any Saints fans think he would be as successful as he is in Green Bay based off what he did in New Orleans?
Or did you know he was great?

our defense was amazing the 1 season McCarthy was our O coord
but the O did good enough... including taking 2/3 against the defending super bowl champ greatest show on turf Rams... and he made Aaron Brooks seem like an actual QB of the future (though that season was and will always be Jeff Blake's team in my eyes)

McCarthy was our OC for 5 years. And he was a good one.

I'll agree to that. And even go so far as to say he might even be the second best OC Saints have ever had. But how much is that really saying?

He turned Aaron Brooks into an actual QB. That's good enough for me to think he is a good offensive mind.

He was okay. I didn't think he was anything super great though.
I didn't understand why they let him go to San Francisco either.

Yeah, and not getting set on fire is better than being set on fire.
He was a really good OC and I was glad to have him. I never really thought he'd do as well as he has as a head coach though. I thought he'd be a better version of Norv Turner or something.
