They're actually pretty commmon around here. We have over 20 different types of Sphinx and Hawk Moths in Louisiana, but most people have never seen them before. Probably because they never go out looking for them.

And the Rustic Sphinx larva.....I have tons of Sphingidae moths and some larva.
