Calling Vanguard fans: Is there any easy way to determine Roth contributions

So you can know precisely where the line between contributions and earnings is?


Or do you basically have to just backtrack and sum up your contributions.



And before someone suggests it: no it is a different value than the cost basis. Reinvested dividends are still earnings (assuming the principal hasn't lost value) but are calculated the same as contributions as far as cost basis is concerned.

Once logged in at vanguard, go to my accounts > balances and holdings (drop down menu) > balances over time.

There it's broken down as:
Beginning balance
Purchases & withdrawals
Investment returns


I think this is what you were looking for.
