Did anyone watch it last night? If so how was it? I have it recorded just wanted to see what anyone else thought about it.

I was impressed by the cast. Lots of familiar faces in that town. The writing didn't completely suck and the storylines are interesting. I'm in.

I really liked the show so far. Too early to tell how it will work out but I am recording the entire series so I committed that much.

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion on this show.

watching now.

One thing that just bugged me...

One wife told the other "If you place an order from the PX you may get it after VJ day"

then went on to tell her about a "Red" type person who can get things.

Well anyway... How would you know Victory in Japan would be known as VJ day??

I mean it could be obvious, but then again it's like a person talking about teeror attacks in the 90's and saying "oh after 9/11 things will change" had to be a writer slip.

It's referred to as VJ Day in this contemporary newsreel LINK

One detail they got right is the wind. It blows all the time out there, and that fine dust gets in and on everything.

I never see this show discussed. I think it's a very good show about the back story of the Manhattan project. Lots of big events seen from other sides.

It was interesting they covered plutonium inhalation/exposure and the uncertainty; cutting corners in the rush to get the X-10 Graphite Reactor online.

How is this show? I wanted to watch it, but didn't realize when it started and just saw about a week ago that I missed like most of the first season.

But shite like this definitely interests me and I'd be down for watching it if it is good.

Thoughts? I see this thread wasn't too active..

It's worth checking out. So far it has been solid and Katja Herbers livens up the scenery.
