My GF's sister is about to go through this.......
Is this legit?????? I hear they do some ....odd....stuff.

This isn't a terrible thread at all? This is a legitimate campus that plaintiff lawyers attend for extended periods of time to learn and train to be better plaintiff lawyers....so the brochure says.
How is that starting a bad thread?

I'm mostly just looking for lawyers that have been there. If you haven't, then I really don't think you have anything of substance to ad.

Gerry is the real deal.
His latest thing is psychodrama, which is odd but effective.
Some Louisiana lawyers feel his techniques don't transfer well here because his methods are geared toward obtaining large punitive damages awards. Punitives are rarely available under Louisiana law.
By all accounts, it is an intense experience.

Anyway, I have not been to Spence's ranch, but the LAJ puts on a very light version of it every December, and many of the speakers are graduates (including Gerry's son). There's a guy named Low who teaches for Spence there and does his thing at the LAJ event. He's a Marine and quite interesting. Out of Long Beach IIRC.

She should read some of Don Keenan's "reptile brain" stuff, and she should definitely read Rules of the Road.
