I know how much hate the city gets but I was just thinking about it today. There have been overall #1 players or top 10 overall but #1 at QB position from Shreveport:

Terry Bradshaw (not sure about ranking, I know went to Tech but apparently extremely stupid and couldn't get into LSU)

Josh Booty
John David Booty
Brock Berlin
Brandon Harris (I know not top 10 and Bossier)
Shea Patterson

Didn't Arnaz Battle come from Shreveport? Maybe Byrd High before playing at Notre Dame.

QB from Shreveport who started for Grambling U and and the LA Rams for a number of years. I believe his first name was James and he had a nickname like "Shad" or something. If memory serves me right he was the first Black QB in the NFL. I am getting old I guess. Memory gone to hell.

Then the QB from Byrd HS who played for LSU in the late 70s and later for the Miami Dolphins.

You are either young or recently moved to Shreveport.

You forgot a lot of memorable QBs

Bradshaw NFL Super Bowl
Ferguson NFL
Woodley NFL Super Bowl
Humphries NFL Super Bowl
Bobby Jackson NFl
Willis Owens NFL

All NFL starters although not all rated top 10 coming out of HS

Even with all these names posted, I still maintain that strawns eat shop is the only redeeming quality of that town.

So lsu, usl, nela, grambling and tech have all had Super Bowl starting qbs. And three of the, are from Shreveport. That's crazy.

I mean, there's only been like 80 starting Super Bowl qbs. That's a big deal.

North LA really has produced some amazing QBs. With Prescott, Harris , and more in the pipeline, it looks as if it will continue

At one time there were like 17 QB's in the nfl that either went to high school or college in La. Like 2002 or something like that.

What about the guy that played for the redskins and won it? I think he was from LA too? Or he played at grambling? Doug Williams that's it

David Woodley is from Shreveport, he went to Byrd.

Bradshaw, Booty, and Ferguson. Went to Woodlawn and I've heard Bradshaw say that Trey Prather was better than all of them, but he died in Vietnam.
