I can't understand how anyone could take the palestinian side.

"In Paris, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and European foreign ministers met earlier Saturday to find ways to transform Saturday's initial 12-hour lull into a sustainable truce."
That scumbag POS meeting with pro-Hamas Turkey and Qatar in Paris to try to find a way to give Israel the shaft sickens me. John Kerry is one of the most despicable and dishonorable men to ever serve the United States Government.

Right, if I were a satirical cartoonist, I could imagine a picture of two piles of bodies reaching high into the sky, one side good, one side evil. You could put both sides as either I suppose, depending on the ideology you came out of.

This. He is an embarrassment. You have to wonder if Obama just sat down and picked the worst people that he could think of for these positions. That's the only explanation because no one is that fricking stupid.

Because you do not understand what either side is fighting for. If some English guy decided to give Concordia parish to Sunni Muslims as a homeland because the Shia persecuted them and tried to move all.the families out of multigenerational homes you would catch on pretty quick. Both sides have blood soaked hands in this and need to grow up and understand the reality of their situation. We as a country need to.stop enabling both sides.

Dude I fully understand what both sides are fighting for. Anybody that votes for hamas to lead them deserves no sympathy from anyone. They had the chance to do the right thing but chose not to. At what point does someone say ok we don't feel sorry for you anymore. They lost me when they voted in hamas. They should be driven into the desert.

so let's say Obama starts bombing innocent civilians somewhere, do we collectively punish Republicans in response?
oh wait, Obama's actually doing that with his drone attacks. oops. guess it's time to purge all the Americans...
collective punishment is backwards-arse logic. it doesn't make sense when a schoolteacher punishes the whole class for one kid fricking up and it doesn't make sense when you bomb an entire nation into the Stone Age because a plurality voted Hamas into office

While we are on the subject of Concordia Parish, I moved away from there for economic reasons. I didn't want to drive a tractor for someone and was finished working in the oilfield so I did what was best for me. I moved somewhere I could get a decent job.

Great explanation.
Seriously, what's different at all about the argument? It's okay to punish Palestinians because Hamas was elected with a plurality and they kill innocent people, but it's not okay to punish Americans because Obama was elected with a majority and his administration kills innocent people?
You know Hamas wasn't unanimously voted in, right? That not all Palestinians support them? Why then do you, and the posters supporting your argument, feel that the Palestinians who oppose Hamas should be punished too? Because that's exactly what your post argued for.
It is literally the same situation. Punishing all members of a country because some members of it voted into office people who kill innocents is stupid and inexcusable.

It just hit me, lets kill 2 birds with one stone.
Lets give Palestine a new state, 15 miles wide from where Texas meets the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific in California.
Then we tell them that the Hondurians, Mexicans, El Salvidorians are all Jews.

It does when the rest of the class gets fed up with the kid fricking up and gives him an attitude adjustment. At least that's how it used to work.
