POOR Apple iPhone users. It must be a hard life.

Stuck in a system offering just one screen size. Bereft of fresh hardware or smartwatches. Monetarily invested in apps which are free elsewhere. Nary a widget nor an NFC connection a to rub together.

Perhaps we could set up a support group for them?

It could be called Google Android.

EFTM blogger Trevor Long recently wrote of his sad iPhone dependence, his body surrounded by contemporary innovation yet his mind unable to break free of Apple’s closed system.

quote:

Responsiveness

Devices sometimes get sluggish, Long says. Imagine how frustrating this must be on an iPhone. While Android devices are loaded with up to 3GB RAM, iPhones are stuck with 1GB. While Android users can close open apps with one button press and the tap of an icon, Apple users must double-tap the home button and swipe each open app upwards. Ouch.

quote:

Screen size

The top iPhone offers a 4-inch screen, which is just adorable. In an industry where the standard looks like a 5-inch display or larger, Apple’s narrow offering is too narrow. The iPhone screen was great in 2007, certainly, but all that squinting is causing wrinkles today.

quote:

Battery life

You can tell an iPhone user by their intimate knowledge of power point locations. The iPhone 5S battery is rated at 1560mAh. The HTC One M8 has a 2600mAh battery. Even with a larger screen to light, that’s a lot of time the latter device will spend actually being mobile.

quote:

A better camera

Want a 20-megapixel monster in your petite pocket? You can have it with Android. Hey, you can even have it with Windows Phone. Not so with the iPhone. That goes for 4K video recording too.

Man you can sell that s5 for $400 on Craigslist and buy something better. I recently sold my Note 3 and found a M8 on craigslist. The M8 is fricking sweet. I will NEVER own anothe samsung, Touchwiz absolutely cripples android.

Damn homie. I felt the same about my S4 and finally got rid of it. Bought a G2 off craigslist for $150 and could not be happier.

This used to be true. However since the Sense 5.0 iteration, it's been heavily lightened up and gives a slightly more "stock android" feel.

Same goes for LG's UI. Very light.

TouchWiz, however, just seems to keep getting more and more bulky, bordering on the 1gb file size, which is absolutely ludicrous!

First point: horseshite article that brings nothing to this board.

Second point: I love how this article is written just over a month before Apple releases their latest redesign of their flagship phone. That is very convenient for the troll that penned it, comparing what is largely a two year old design to current competitors right on the cusp of it's update. I hope he comes back in October and revises the article.

Derp.

A redesign every two years fits the carrier contract cycle perfectly with the nice refresh the year in between. A perfectly good system.

Putting out a new phone every 3 months or 6 months? That what you want? How would that make any damn sense?

It doesn't. Not one smidgen, but trolls gonna troll.

Not everyone is on the same 2 year cycle.

Also, I can't think of a single Android phone that redesigns every 6 months. 1 year is the norm for redesigns.

Can u blame a manufacturer for wanting to offer the most updated phones to their customers no matter what point of a cycle they may be in?

I don't get you people.

The Galaxy S is the iPhone's main competition and how often is a new model released?

Once a f'n year.

Somehow, there is a problem with Apple releasing a new iPhone every year.

How many days are there in a year at Samsung headquarters? Is it 365 like it is at Apple?

Geez.

I don't need a phone that I have to squeeze in my pocket.

I'm not aware of many android phones that have this problem. My LG G2 (in a case) with a 5.2" screen has no issue slipping into my pocket. And the iPhone with it's ridiculous bezels isn't much smaller than most android phones
