All right. Why is FB a long then?

Entire market is a short (until the holiday season).

Where did you get this useless prediction?

FB because it will be here 5-10 years from now easy.
FB is essentially a psychological drug for "users." They will continue to retain core user visit time and will maintain room for growth as teenagers continue to get access to the internet and people in the middle of Alabama and Mississippi build farms on Farmville.
but seriously.. Farmville??? What the frick?

But I am also assuming that when you say long you are committing to a long term purchase. Sure it could go down in the short term. Its trading at 5-6x earnings versus the S&P 500.. but if they can consistently generate cash flows from all these revenue streams they have going on, they should get the traffic.

I'll admit I wasn't a fan of FB initially, but it seems they've overcome the hurdle of generating revenue from cell users.
I was also bearish at IPO, and while correct initially, that was horribly wrong over the last two years.
I like FB long term and would consider buying the next significant dip.

I got in at $22 and again at $35. Look at the number of users and consider the potential beyond cat and baby pictures. I think if they're really agressive and thinking big they can be a threat to amazon. They're a long buy IMV.

My instinct is to short it. Just being honest.
