Moving to Prairieville from BR and looking for a reliable moving company that isn't going to cost a fortune. Any suggestions?

Get a Uhaul. You don't have any close friends?

Student Movers. Make sure its the guys with the red trucks. There are some dudes that try to scam off their name and will screw you.

The Student Movers guys were very nice, quick, and efficient. They sent 3 guys so two are bringing your stuff to the truck while the third is putting everything up. Makes everything go much quicker. Didn't have any damage on any of our items. Highly recommended.

I've moved to 4 different cities across the country. The ones below will do as good a job as any.

Be sure to tip each mover at least $20. Let them know you'll tip if they're careful. Done.

Check out the uhaul website. They have listings for movers and. Uhaul acts as middle man to be sure you have good experience. You also get to rate them when done.

Having to pay in cash is a bad idea.

Then you've got low-rent people who know the layout of your new house and all the contents of it...no thanks.

Typical misconception that people who are in a rehabilitation program are criminals who will steal your shite. Congrats sir.

My advice is to post an ad on Craigslist and offer $500 firm. Any moving company is going to overcharge you -- they add all kinds of extra fees for an extra man, plus they take their time wrapping shite up and milking you for every cent. Last time I used a company they charged me out the arse and then refused to take my stuff off the truck until I paid them what they wanted. I don't recommend Student Movers -- that name is just a facade and they're just as bad as all the others.

Do not get all my sons moving! Horrible experience with them and the owner was a complete dick. I would not recommend them to anyone.
