I know Canadians are touchy about terms also. 1st peoples, Natives or whatever. But never heard anybody bitching about this.

aren't the Eskimos community owned kind of like the Green Bay Packers?
and of course we have one Daniel Snyder owning the Redskins... i'd like to think a more likable owner would not face such controversy brought on by everyone else

I'm asking you, since you claimed it was a racial slur. Its a fact there are all (or practically all) native american schools that use Redskins as its moniker. I don't see that happening with any other racial slur, and certainly they (the native american school) have the power to change the name if they saw fit.
