Been a few times. Not bad. A few things to look at and you can book hunting trips around the nation.

Can you buy things or just look

there are a lot of for sale items, raffles, hunting trips. Not a bad place to kill a few hours, but it doesn't change too much from year to year.

Well i have never been, and going to be in the area. Would like to check it out for a couple hrs and watch the dogs and the wife wants to see that squirrel ski

Apparently that's the selling point. Cause that has been all over the radio.

I've worked it for the last couple of years, seems like a pretty good show, but since I was working it, I didn't spend much time browsing.
eta....I won't be working it this year due to a trip out of the country, but I wish I could.

It has gone the way of gun shows. Lots of vendors that have nothing to do with what you would view as "outdoors". Lawn mowers, metal buildings, etc. Probably have the Sham-Wow guy there too.
Still a good way to kill the day.
Parking will be HORRIBLE. I would try to park across the street from the Convention Center. There is a big parking lot there. If not, look behind the Convention Center, along Congress.

quick question, it shows it has stuff at the cajun dome and convention center.. how far are these apart? Will i need separate tickets for each? And should i only go to one or both?
guess that was more than one quick question

It's the same place. "Cajundome & Convention Center"

You will only need to buy one ticket and the doors are about 50yds apart. You should definitely go to both. Everyone goes to the Cajundome first, but usually I find that the more "Outdoorsmen" type stuff is in the Convention center. They usually have some pretty cool shite.
