It from Clapton's new album "The Breeze: An Apprecition of JJ Cale".

Mayer

He catches some hate due to all those pop songs he records but when he wants to that guy can play with the best of em. His blues work is incredible.

I was listening to JJ today. I also have the Clapton/Cale Road to Escondito, which is really good.

John Mayer is one my favorite singer/songwriters from his generation. Also an excellent guitar player.

Holy crap, that's the best I've ever heard come from Mayer's fingers. That was awesome.

This. Imo, and I have no basis for this opinion, but Mayer seems to be a guy that loves the blues and loves the guitar. But his only way to break in was to start with pop and make a name. Then he could play his music.

I have no problems with that. I would do the same if I could.

His sets at Claptons Crossroads festivals would make anyone appreciate his talent. Google it and enjoy. I would post, but mobile.

The GOAT Clapton/Mayer song. They raised money for Hurricane Katrina "relief" with this song.
