Would the situation have been handled differently if it had been pro choice signs?

Typical POS cops. Bet they'd shoot an innocent dog though

quote:

The footage, uploaded to YouTube by the organization behind the presentation, shows multiple officers appear to ignore complaints from the group as a man takes down their signs. The signs appeared to depict very graphic images showing the aftermath of abortion.

“We got a guy taking our signs and walking with them right now,” an individual can be seen telling officers in the video.

The officer does not appear to respond.

quote:

“Are you gonna allow someone to just walk away with our property?” a man asks an officer at another point in the video.

“I’m watching it,” the officer replies.

Hobby Lobby Rabble Babble

Womenz bodies blah blah

War on women

If you frick with the liberals, you are put on national news and demonized. It seems that the only people that are allowed to stand up for their rights / what they believe in are pro choice, pro gun control, etc.

And cops will always be POS.

Yeah pretty damning with the officer telling him he can have the signs on the street.

In Louisiana, the officers could be charged with Malfeasance in Office for just standing there.

Your article says the guy was charged. If they want to watch himself incriminate himself as far as possible, what's wrong with that?

If a cop sees a drug dealer make a deal, is he required to arrest him immediately? Or, can he observe a pattern of purchases to build a stronger case?

Actually since they were on city property they are considered litter. It's no different than realtors putting those open house signs on property they have no legal ownership of. Same goes for all those marketing signs businesses put on the median or side of the road etc. it's litter.

Police are required to stop a violation of the law against a person not come back later and charge the violator.

Apples to oranges. The removal of property is a crime against the person. Narcotics crimes are crimes against the state.

In regards to the signs, the property owner and complainant requested the police protect his property in which they refused.

Except at the beginning of the video, the officer checks the groups permits and advises them they have permission to place the signs on the side walk.

Not no internet tough guy, but fat arse and pony tail woulda had to whip my arse before he'd taken anything of mine. That being said, the sign owners handled that with class.

He was charged after the fact.

The police have an obligation to protect those people's property

Exactly.

Those officers need to be called in and have their asses chewed out and some disciplinary action taken.

I would. Somehow I keep getting cast as a liberal on this board when all I do is play Devils Advocate for most of this stuff.
