OBers, I'm looking for ideas or suggestions on methods, products, etc. I have a 2011 Bass Tracker in perfect condition, only thing left is to get the hull back to showroom finish. I recently purchase toon brite and mothers polish. Am I headed in the ire direction? OH, and it's kicking my arse! Lol

Better have a good electric buffer with a solid foam pad for that work. Mag wheel polish is fine but it's going to kill your hands rubbing that crap in and buffing it out. I used a 6" Porter Cable polisher on a bunch of large copper pots and some Flitz and they turned out perfect.

Alumabrite when it gets dull. Google for concentration to use. Too dilute it won't get it clean, too concentrated it'll white out the aluminum.

IMO the best thing about raw aluminum hull is not having to keep it clean and pretty though

Toon brite will make it look good. If you polish it to, it will look like chrome which I personally wouldn't want. Put the tune brite in a spray bottle and spread it around with a sponge. Make sure you were gloves!

Thanks for the replies! I bought some toon brite and gae it a try in the bottom of hull. It left a white sheen but I was able to remove it. I'll try adding more water to get the mixture ratio correct. I also used an electric buffer wheel with mothers polish and I have a ton of black residue. Am I doing somthing wrong there?? Again, thanks!
