Need a new cell phone...android?

Dropped iphone5 in saltwater few wks ago. Been thru two weeks of switching borrowed junk phones and can't take it. Wanted to wait until 6 came. Should I switch to samsung gal5, or keep trying to wait for 6?

I'm not up for upgrade until Sept. But can switch to next plan on att.
I don't know that I have heard a ton of impressive info about upcoming 6
