what do you want to use it for?

AR? I guess it'd be good but I have no experience

Hunting? Hell no, too small of a lens

Have it on my 15-22. Works great for that. Not sure I'd put it on much bigger.

Going on an AR. Looking for a mil dot scope that will allow me some room for a backup iron sight. I'm not opposed to fixed power either but variable sure is nice.

It says firearm. Is this solely airsoft shite that will fall apart on me?

Buy it. I have been wanting to know what it will do on an AR. I want to use you as a guinea pig. Instead of that one, can you find a 1-4x to try out. Thanks.

Broke I looked at that UTG but went with a Vortex Strikeforce when it went on sale for $99 at PSA.

It's on sale right now for $99.99. I really want more of a mil dot scope though.

Is that the red/green strikefire? The reason that it's probably on sale is because it doesn't get very bright. I do not know personally, but that is what I have read.

Let me know how that illumination is. I have been looking at 1-4x with illumination and want to know if it can be daylight visible to take the place of a red dot.

I have the leupold mark AR mod 1 with the illuminated Firedot reticle. It's 1.5-4x but I don't see much difference in picking up targets vs a true 1x. The dot in the middle of the reticle is adjustable and easily seen during daylight. For the price it's a great variable mag optic.

I have a 1.5-4x as well and I don't have any trouble picking up targets at 1.5x either.

I got a optisan which is a cheaper one (like primary arms) but it's held up to a good but of abuse and works pretty good. It has an illuminated reticle but it's pretty shitty as it "fogs" the glass when turned up. I never plan on using it illuminated so it's a non issue for me.

The one I have on my 15-22 is just crosshairs. I rarely turn on the illumination on it but there would be no problem picking them up illuminated during the day. There are several levels of brightness.
