I saw a home on a forclosure listing for around $3 grand in Baton Rouge. I recognized the picture of the home as being a small house in a really nice area. I even found what I believe is the address. However, to get any more info about said home, I'd have to sign up for the site to get their complete foreclosure listings and details on the properties. Seems completely unlegit, right? Is there a way of definitively confirming whether it's legit or unlegit (besides common sense) without paying to signing up for a trial of this site?

Seems unlegit. You'd think you could get that info from the bank that foreclosed on it.

The site doesn't include the information on which bank it is unless you pay. I assumed it was unlegit

Its a scam. Lots of those places swipe pictures of homes for sale and use them.

A buddy of mine had his $300k house for sale and started getting a bunch of visitors creeping around. Found out it was listed for $50k on one of these foreclosure scam sites.

Ok, thanks for confirming what I had assumed.

If you want to get an idea of what foreclosed homes go for, take a look at the ebr sheriffs website and then looks at past foreclosure sales. If it says "stopped" next to it, it did not go through to sale. If it doesn't say stopped, click on it and it will tell you an appraised value, writ amount and how much it was sold for.
