damage.... That's his or any other backs reality for 3 years!

In the last 20 years when has LSU used only one back? If you don't come to LSU because of 1 rb being in front of you. Then you can go play somewhere else because you won't make it. shite for all we know Williams ends up being the better back. Please. Get the frick out with this bullshite.

What about the premise that a running back only has so many carries in his body. If Fournette carries 25 times a game for three years, how many carries does he have lef at a first round draft pick.
I believe and I suspect most fans and coaches agree, a rested Brosette is better than a tired and banged up Peterson. If Brosette and Guice can carry the mail they will get an opportunity.

The top flight RB's are going to have realize that the top flight programs cannot afford to put all their eggs in one basket. RB's is too physical a position. IOW, there will be other top talent around him if he chooses a good school. There are two ways to view this: 1) they're taking carries away from me or conversely, 2) they allow me to get some breaks.

yep. Even at Bama (whom we love to criticize). Richardson had Lacey, Lacy had Yeldon, etc etc.

It would be way smarter if he is thinking long run NFL career (what d1 prospect wouldnt) to share carries in college as to not develop injury.

We'll sign 2-3 top notch RBs either way. Would love brossette to be on the team but there's hundreds out there.

I won't fault him for going to ND. Great education, and he'll only have two juniors in front of him when he gets there. If he does flip, we will need another guy in this class unless we make Ducre an RB.

So if Fournette gets 25 carries, Guice and Brossette 10 each and Williams 5 carries. That's 50 carries. So what about Dupree and the receivers?

I can understand that reasoning. But how does Texas become his promised land for carries? It's not like they don't pull in skill players. If he wants to be big man on campus with minimum competition / maximum touches, there are better choices than Texas IMHO.

I was talking to one of NB family members last summer and he told me that none of his close family members are "steering or telling" him what to do but that the thing that would make it hard for NB to leave La. would be the fact he wouldn't be close around his mom and other close family members and he wouldn't like that.

That conversation did happen a year ago but that makes me feel better about his commitment because theirs nothing like having your family a couple minutes drive away...

In some cases as in life, business, or recruiting it's about the presentation and marketing, not the facts.

I see that as the only real answer to your question.
