California surfer kid moves to the Midwest. He hates the Midwest and day dreams of waves and sun. He does his best to fit in with the help of a pretty girl and young but nerdy Seth Green.

However, a young Jack Black and his crew of a-hole rollerblading jocks are determined to make his life miserable.

Can the California kid prove he belongs? More importantly, can he stay true to himself in the process?

One large hill will determine his fate.

Airborne.

great movie.

i like how the whole student body and everyone up north is perceived as these hard arse mofos that dont take shite from nobody.

one thing that always bothered me about the movie was the first hockey game against the preps. why the frick would they pick the cousin to replace their hurt player if the game was that important? and then pick the california guy after that? there was seriously no one at their whole school that plays hockey. wtf

This was filmed all over the Cincinnati area where I am from. There really isn't any one big hill to race down. They had to splice together about 10 different hills all over the City and Northern KY to get that dramatic race scene.
