Yeah they are doing a ratings countdown til then. Released the 10 highest rated rookies yesterday. Surprised that Blake bottles has a 78 overall starting point. 83 for Clowney. Thought he'd be an 85 which was the starting point for Julius Peppers in madden 2003 and I believe for Mario Williams in madden 2007.

I thought the rookie ratings were pretty spot on, outside of the B. Bortles 78. I didn't think he'd be rated that high, but I guess his draft position played a pretty big part. I like how they only had like 2 or 3 rookies with an 80+ rating. Starting them out too high is always a little lame, IMO.

Only other thing I was surprised about was not seeing Justin Gilbert in the top 13. Especially after seeing Darqueze Dennard in there.

Clowney is a 92 if you change him to DE. That's outrageous.

A lot of 3-4 olbs are like that. Whenever I put together a 4-3 team, I always pick up other teams 3-4 OLBs that are between 75-80 because they typically go up in ratings points at DE 10-15 overall points. I do the same thing with 3-4 DEs as well.

Here's the full schedule of the ratings release date.
