Weird. Prices here are usually a standard lower price during matinee times and then regular price after the matinee window.

Its like that for Carmike Theaters at least...Its their "Super Bargain Matinee" between 4 and 6 pm. I always go between that time to catch a movie.

was this at the same theater?

Note: I went to Elmwood for a 2:30 matinee it was 5,75 I think, I had two open seats by me only issue was someone behind wouldn't stop talking and a couple people didn't put their phones in a place it wouldn't disturb people, one person had a flash alert on their phone and it went on every 20 or so minuets. But going at that time was so worth it I think I will try and go see more movies at matinee times. Not worth it to sit through lines when you can go to see a movie in the afternoon cheep and no lines or crowds.

Are you trying to see an imax film at 11am and a 2D film at 4/5?

Your post seemed like nonsense, so I went to the websites for AMC and Perkins Rowe in BR, since you are listed as living in BR, and the ticket prices for every movie begin at a lower price and gradually increase throughout the day.

You, sir, are drunk.

did he try to buy a weekend ticket? and than the afternoon is a weekday price. That is the only way to describe it.

Well, not in BR. I just checked multiple movies at all four theaters. I compared the weekend prices and times to the weekday prices and times. There are no differences. They work in the same manner as my last explanation. I have no idea what the OP is talking about.

Were you wearing any LSU gear? Could explain the pricing discrepancy.

edit: Oh my that really is the case, first talk to the manager ask why a morning movie is less expensive than an afternoon movie, if she doesn't fix the issue say because of this I'm never coming to the theater again. Ask all of your friends to do the same, than tell them to ask their friends to do the same. This is kinda BS that they are doing this.

It's the same movie, all the movies cost the same

8.25 for every showing except the ones starting between 4 and 5. Those are 5.75

I researched it myself and you are correct.

I edited my post, and gave some advice. I would at-least boycott the theater but also try to talk to the manager see if you can fix the problem.
