I am not drilling a hole in my pool. Looking for a base for a standard umbrella. Can't just let a metal base sit in the bottom. It will rust of course. Someone has to have made this.

Make a mold, pour concrete in it, let dry and stick pole into hole left in center, drop in pool.

To elaborate on that idea. Get a five gallon bucket and mix some quickrete, put said umbrella in it and let it dry. Set in pool once dry.

If you want to get fancy bust the bucket off the concrete and then stain the concrete.

This could work

Could work depending on how deep the pool is and where you are going to put it.

ETA: Heavy umbrella base

Or just buy this 17 lb base and find an umbrella you like that is tall enough

On the OB?

You could have posted on the OT and they would have told you how to suck the umbrella...

Simple- Plastic dip a regular base.

Edit- use the spray can type. Not the actual dip style.

Or this Stainless steel one

Stick the umbrella in the ground and build the pool around it, better?

Try a plastic umbrella base which would be filled by the user with gravel or sand if on dry land. Fill the base with concrete which has the smallest rocks/gravel you can find as it is not going to be east to pour the concrete into the small hole.

I suggest plastic for two reasons: 1) the chlorinated water will attack and corrode any metal you use; and 2) you don't want to scratch, scuff, or otherwise mar the surface of your pool (if you have a vinyl liner, a metal base will likely cut it).

If you really want to go upscale, get a table with attached stools which goes in the pool. Pool Lounge Link

How deep of water you trying for?

Plan for a long shaft unless you're really short.

ETA: I drive a piece of pvc into the flower bed next to my pool and have an umbrella in it.

And one on the steps and one on the shallow deck.
