Our league is a standard league with a snake draft. Looking to change it up this year instead of simply pulling names out of a hat.
Any cool suggestions?

Nascar race. None of us are big Nascar fans, but the only minutes of a race I have watched are the last 10 or so laps of last years race.

Get the top 12 drivers in the standings of Nascar, and randomly assign players in your league to a driver.

We do this now for our Waiver Wire selection. We are using the Brickyard next Sunday to determine our waiver wire priority.

Thanks

Saw a interesting concept we may try in one league. Ping pong balls in a bowl with each owners initials draw for picks for first round all names back in and continue second round and duration of the draft so it's random each round

Nah, I don't like that at all.

We draw out of a hat to determine the order in which we choose our draft spot.

This year we all filled out a bracket for March Madness. In the two previous years we would all guess at the total passing yards for Drew Brees in the third preseason game.

ETA: This also just determined the order in which we choose our draft spot.

We do it a little different.

We pick hats out of a name.

We do this in one of mine.

In another one, we randomly split everyone in to four teams of three, then we play drinking games to determine the order we choose our draft spot. It starts with the semifinals, with the winner of each game moving on to the championship, then the losers playing in the consolation (3rd place game). The 1st place team gets selections 1-3, 2nd place 4-6, 3rd place 7-9, and 4th 10-12. At that point, the three members of each team play each other to fill in who gets which pick out of the three.

the only real way to do it is have a all day beer drinking contest.

example : start at 10 am. whoever drinks the most beers from 10 am to the start of the draft, lets say 4pm, picks first. then the second most beers consumed picks 2, etc etc.
