Any of ya'll know/recommend some guides in Ontario, Canada for hunting winged and 4-legged critters? Searched the OB and no joy. My google searches show lots of results...just curious to know if anyone has any personal experiences.

TIA

I live in the GWN (great white north) well I overlook New York so I am in the southern part but there are lots of guides , mainly in the north – most Americans that come up want to hunt something that different so they go after moose bear etc or in northwestern ONT there are massive whitetail. Below is an ON website from a magazine that’s similar to LA sportsman (well as close as we have up here) – they list lots of guides and have a good forum section for local perspective. I have never used a guide in ONT and not many locals do so I cant provide a direct reference – I am a waterfowl/upland guy so I don’t have much to offer from a big game perspective but would be happy to help if I can. As an FYI I did hear they cut back on the # of moose tags this year so that may drive the price up but otherwise things are pretty stable.
So If I was going to travel to ONT to hunt I would go after
Moose, bear, maybe whitetails, grouse
But after that if I was after waterfowl I would go out west to the prairies, no pheasants to speak of in ON, there are a good number of woodcock but like becasse hunters they guard their coverts like fort knox and are only passed down in a will ……… There are a few elk but western US or Canada would be a better option

I've got nothing in Ontario. I've got folks in AB or SK.

I've hunted ducks enough in Louisiana...so something other than that (although a good duck smack down is hard to beat). I've never really went after big game so if you know of any guides/lodges that cater to that side would be awesome.

Thanks for the input - I've moved from CENLA to just west of Ottawa and looking to for unique hunts up here.

One of those massive whitetail may be the answer...or an elk/moose.
