it's theme is one of, if not the, best sci fi themes

solid flick, but it's a tourist gazing upon the pantheon

Top 20 for me, probably the middle somewhere. Movies like 2001, Blade Runner, The Thing, Body Snatchers, obviously come first.
But it's right there.

I'd say the final cut is slightly better. Though it's not like the film isn't worth viewing multiple times, so you can just compare and contrast and do the original first.

I started to watch it a few times when I was a younger but I could never get into it. I'm giving it another shot.

I rate it pretty high one of a dozen or so sci-fi movies that I think are great movies.

i guess i just wanted more from the ending

I honestly thought Blade Runner was just OK. I wouldn't say there was anything I disliked about it. But I also feel like it means something different to the people who saw it when it first came out. I probably saw it when I was 7-8 years old, and by that point, I had already experienced a lot of the stuff in the movie in different forms so it wasn't very original to me. JMHO

I've seen it already! Just thinking about it and wanted to see what the board thought of it.

Excellent movie. Sam Rockwell was great in it.

Enjoyed it a lot. I love a good science fiction flick and this one definitely delivered.

I'm not sure how fair it is to mention it among films like 2001, Blade Runner, and Metropolis but it is most certainly one of the best few Sci Fi movies of the 21st century. Its up there with District 9 and Children of Men.
