Malcolm Jenkins was in true form at the end of that game

No thanks.

I'm so damn glad the panthers imploded this offseason. I doubt they're going to be a legit challenge this coming season.

I agree. They didn't have that great of an offense last year and lost games for that very reason. They've lost basically their entire WR corp.

McCown will probably win the starting role. If he plays like he did filling in for Cutler last season then Tampa will be tough.

Yeah, I think the Lovie owning us was a stretch but his teams have definitely been a pain in the arse.

Even still... McCown or Glennon. Any QB they field will be 4th best in the NFC South. I'm more worried about Atlanta, though I do think we'll see improvement from the Buccs.

Atlanta still has holes on their lines on both sides of the ball. Until that is taken care of, Atlanta will be average. They also have huge question marks on the defensive side of the ball.

Tampa will be strong defensively. Don't forget they have Doug Martin in the backfield as well. Anytime a team can play good defense & run the ball, they will be competitive.

Vincent Jackson & Mike Evans will make for a very good receiving tandem. Like I said before, if McCown plays like he did in Chicago last season, the Bucs will have enough balance offensively to make the playoffs.

McCown stats last season:

66.5 comp% 1829 yds 13 TD 1 INT

I'm more worried about Tampa then any NFC South team, I don't think they'll take the division lead but I definitely see them in wild card contention now that they have a coach who kind of knows wtf is going on.

One of my biggest "WTF" moments watching the Saints was the angle Malcolm Jenkins took on Cam on that safety blitz.

They've been a challenge for the New Orleans Saints since Cam Newton was drafted in 2011 (3-3), including winning 3 of the last 4, why would that change now?

FWIW, I do think they took a step back from a 12-4 team, but I do believe they will still challenge. I view them as an 8-9 win team that will likely challenge for a Wild Card spot.

In the future, they will fully benefit from getting rid of the bad salary cap issues they have...

Cam Newton is still on his rookie contract.

He wouldn't be a bad salary cap hit. Players like DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are.

Maybe in the regular season. The Panthers haven't seriously challenged for the NFC since before the IPhone came out.
