It fell in some water last weekend. I dried it off really well and stuck it in rice. It's been in there all week. Should I leave it in there any longer?

take it out and turn it on

if it doesn't work, you didn't leave it in long enough

Just my opinion. A week should be plenty of time to get all the moisture out. If it won't power on the damage was probably already done.

As a test, i purposely dropped moto droid 4 into 6 inches of water then ran under water for 2 min and left soaking for an hour

Wrapped phone in 2 slices of bread and turned on 3 days later, works perfectly

Long enough for the rice to attract the Asian's that come fix it for you.

Was it on or off when you dropped it in. I have no doubt that most devices would work if they are off when dropped in water.

When they are still on and dropped in water, that is when shite goes wrong.
