Well yeah, I'm not saying that if you aren't 100% optimistic about every move this FO has made you're dumb/shouldn't post/etc. But I swear every single bit of news this dude responds to he takes the most negative possible angle on it. It goes well beyond a reasonable check on overly-optimistic homers

Different strokes for different folks. I'll stick to voicing my honest opinions about my team.

The problem is that you've admitted you like getting Asik, but rather than stop at discussing current moves, you feel the need to tell everyone that you think the franchise is doomed years down the line every single time you make a post when your opinion on the future isn't exactly relevant to the discussion. The problem isn't your opinion, it's the lack of relevance. If we were actually having a discussion about what's going to happen in 6 years people might still disagree with you, but they wouldn't think you were trying to bring down the board with your pessimism, because in that context your opinion on the far future of the franchise would be relevant.

Then I apologize to everyone who's feelings got hurt when I spoke of four years from now in threads about constructing the roster. Sorry.

We could win the Finals this year and Mack would say "well we should have won it in four games rather than seven."

Your analysis does not appear objective. It seems agenda driven. You do not approve of the roster building approach and, therefore, state conclusions and outcomes that are far from certain or, for that matter, even probable.

BTW, you're not "hurting my feelings". It's more like you're a pesky mosquito.
