It's one of those where you have to enter username and Pw in the browser.

Connect with laptop, bridge your wireless and ethernet connections, connect AppleTV via ethernet cable.
ETA: If you tell me which operating system you are running, I will teach you how to bridge your WiFi and Ethernet connections.

I have no ethernet cable. Is there any possible way to do this still?

No Ethernet cable or no Ethernet port? If no cable, go to Radioshack or wal mart and buy a cable. They're cheap.
If no port, go to radioshack or Walmart and buy a USB to RJ45 adapter and an Ethernet cable.
Then go to your network preferences. Under the wifi/wireless connection there should be an option for "bridge connection." If you get to that step, I'll try to find accurate steps on Mavericks (I run Snow Leopard) and detail them a little better for you. A cursory search didn't reveal the best tutorial, and I am away from any OSX machine for a few days.

to clarify...
you brought an AppleTV to the condo but don't know the login information for the wi-fi that is in the unit? Condo manager won't give you the login information?

I had the login information but the apple tv doesn't give you a spot to put the username and Pw, just Pw

ahh...gotcha.
I've never tried the Internet Sharing option with AppleTV, but no reason it shouldn't work, but you will need to get a patch cable to connect the ATV to your Mac.
