I have some Cole Haans currently. They look nice and wear very well, but the leather sole has worn down too quickly for my liking so I want to explore my options before I get the same style.

The difficult thing is finding the shoe I want in size 15 (medium wide foot). Everything that I've been interested in so far only goes up to 13.

Looking for a loafer/driving shoe in light brown or tan. Any recommendations will be appreciated, but it obviously needs to be available in my size. Don't want to spend more than $200, either.

If you like the shoes, find a cobbler and have the soles redone.

Banana republic has a loafer that is really soft leather. Probably $150.

Driving shoes aren't really business casual, IMO.

I would recommend the Allen Edmonds Kenwood in tan. They're simple and classic, and they're definitely of higher quality than Cole Haan.

They're 225. You may be able to get factory seconds for under 200, try [link=(shoebank.com)]www.shoebank.com[/link]

Rockports. I bought a pair a few years ago. About $100-$120 but you can find them for less. Still look fantastic and I wear them all the time. Also very comfortable.

I'm a 15, too. I wear the Cole Haan Caldwell and Calhoun styles. I used to have the same problem. When I got the most recent replacement, I went to a shoe repair shop and had them glue a thin rubber sole on the leather. I have yet to run through the rubber in a year and a half.

Most drivers soles cannont be redone

I have a pair of AE Kenwoods that are on their last soles and wont be able to be redone

I don't think they make a 15 and their shoes are really narrow I find

Yeah, I like that style, pretty much what I have now except it's a CH.

How does that look, though? Has the glue held up? I've been giving rubber soles more weight in my decision for durability concerns.

I'm the same size/width as you. All three of these shoes are the perfect lasts for me.

I have the Cole Haan Hudson

Johnston & Murphy Melton

Allen Edmonds Hamptons (purchased them from the Allen Edmonds Seconds Sale but it took like a month for them to come because they were handmade)
