Bump since I don't think anyone saw this. Apparently there have been at least ten teams seriously interested in Besler's services.

I would have liked to see what German teams are interested but I still think he should give Europe a shot. Wes Brown and O'Shea are both pretty old so you have think he'd get some meaningful minutes for Sunderland.

My double homerism is showing here, but if arsenal want to play a high line they could always look at Besler. He's fast as hell, very intelligent, and a good passer of the ball. This depends on getting a pure DM though, but that kind of set up would make me pretty happy as an arsenal and USA fan, as long as Besler got some decent rotation time.

Ugh...Fulham.

Ugh...Sunderland.

I'd stay in SKC just so I could hang out with Benny.

Therein lies the problem. There is still a pretty big bias against U.S. players in Europe (I would assume very large in England). I think this World Cup has probably helped in showing the world we're a quality team.

Rhis is incorrect. We (Sunderland) have not bid and aren't likely to. Would love to have him though. Gus breaking out the 4-3-3 this year.
