He must have just watched that "Arachnophobia" movie and made sure he got the whole nest.

Yes!

awesome article, BFIV

Did you get rid of the algae in your pond? And have you seen many blue herons yet?

Only seen a couple up here, and haven't had many trout die from the heat yet.

Were actually expecting record lows tonight.

By the way, how are the grand kids? I bet they are enjoying the pond during the summer..

We have a yard full of clamps, stabilizer sleeves, and other cylindrical objects in our yard at work. Went looking through them one day, and every single one had black widows in them. I'm talking hundreds, maybe more than a thousand black widows. We took a propane tank and torch out there and fried all of them.

Algae finally went away on its own. I diverted more water from the creek into the pond and kept the drain pipes clear of debris so the algae would wash out quicker. That helped a lot. Now I've got some kind of grass growing in it. I need two new grass carp in a bad way. Just can't ever coordinate with the fish truck from Arkansas to get em. I hafta drive over to Tennessee to buy grass carp. Can't legally sell em or buy em here in Virginia. Blue herons are all over the place here, but I've let the shoreline weeds grow up to somewhat hinder their predation. Grandkids are doing great. Running me to death, too. Between fiddle, mandolin, banjo lessons, middle school band practice, and softball, I'm on the go all the time. Big Oil loves me...
