No idea if they are in town, but if they are go check out Bright Light Social Hour

The best Austin band right now is White Denim, but they are probably on the road

Not sure of your tastes but you need to catch Redd Volkaert while you're there. He's at the Continental Club Sunday night with Haybale

Looks like Adam Carrol is at Strange Brew on Manchaca Rd. and Nick Cave is at Moody.

Saxon Pub is good for country/ blues sorta stuff. Same with Continental Club.
The Austin Chronicle is having a shindig with several hiphop bands at Scoot Inn if thats your thang.

And Donn's Depot is always a trippy place. Dive bar with the retirement home set (really...70 yrs old and up) 2 steppin and then always a few young hotties teasing the old geezers. I love Donn's.
