Don't follow LA HS football.

Was he a good prospect or is it a big deal bc someone bucked the JT Curtis system.

Not a peep from Curtis? Or not a peep in general?

Don't know why it would be a major topic unless he was getting D1 offers rained on him.

He left during the school year. It's old news.

He was a decent fit for the system since he could take a hit and his arm was good enough for the few passing plays required. That being said, the team won't miss him a bit.

Washington is a much much much better runner than Abby and he started coming along better as a passer towards the end of the year. The kid can freaking fling a football, may not know where it's going but he sure can throw it.

he did what every kid there should do if they're not playing as a senior... transfer somewhere where they can. it's no secret that Curtis's legendary depth is taken from the would-be stars of Bonnabel, EJ, Grace King, and Riverdale... those kids aren't playing at Curtis, but they're not playing where they can either

Curtis is still just as likely to win the state championship...

Meh, I think at least half of those schools have more talent than Curtis has. There are actually plenty of kids at Curtis who wouldn't start at EJ.

Those schools just need coaches that can get those kids on the field. Salt did that at EJ and you saw how that went.

There are so many athletes in the metro area, the first place a coach needs to recruit is his own hallways.

I see EJ and Riverdales athletes quite often. Anyone who thinks the private schools have a monopoly on athletes doesn't actually look at the athletes, they just look at the scoreboard. For instance, Karr was bigger and faster at almost every position except maybe 3 against Curtis last year and couldn't come out with the W. A big part of the process is discipline, and public schools just don't have a whole lot of it.
