No food, just a beer. RPM. Are all Old Chicago pizzas maven friendly? Or just mine?

All are, they started in Boulder I think. Until recently it was about my only option for good beer out in the burbs where I live. We have had 6 breweries open within 2 miles from me in the last 6 months so OC doesn't get visited as often.

Has anybody tried one of those Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12-packs? They are doing something at one of the local taprooms where all 12 of those beers are on tap. I looked at the list of beers, and I liked the breweries, but I didn't really like the beers that the breweries were making.

The taproom they are doing the event at only has 8 taps, so they must've put in some temporary taps for this event. It's one of my favorite places in Portland, and I think 8 taps is perfect for them, because they rotate them in and out really fast, so you can always count on fresh beer, there.

Thanks. I kind of thought so, with that World of Beer promotion they have, which looks like a company wide promotion. There are no whales there, but they do keep a nice selection of local beers on tap. They always have RPM, which is probably my favorite regular IPA.

I never would have thought that a chain pizza joint would have that kind of selection, so if any of you FBDers are traveling and run across one, you can find a decent beer selection at Old Chicago...

Similar tap list to The Thirsty Lion, I would imagine. Again, no whales, but there is always something good to drink, there.

The same thing is happening in the burbs here in Portland. Lot of good options opening up out in Beaverton/Hillsboro. A new brewery/taproom/pizza joint is opening up within walking distance of my house next month. It's a great time for craft beer...

Ditto.

Will probably still buy the 12-pack for the sake of research.

I don't even want to ask. Not that there is anything wrong with that, mind you...

I was under the impression that Old Chicago pizza brewed their own beer (or contracted it out)? Much like BJ's Brew House...?
