ESPN tool and LSU hater Jessie Palmer picked LSU FIFTH IN THE SEC WEST!!!! He has us losing to both Miss schools. Immediate drug testing must be ordered by ESPN.

How often does LSU ever finish 5th in the west?

The defense and offensive line pretty much returned and will be massive strengths.. This is most important.. LSU wins regardless of QB play so if they do hit there with talent that translate early on then look out.. Plus LSU's schedule is super favorable this season.. so yeah anything outside of 3rd in the West is a massive reach..

And last year he was big on Mett and the LSU offense and everyone said he was a genius. This is MSUs' best chance since 2009 to beat LSU.

I'm loving this type of press. Just laying in the ditch and waiting for them. Let them disrespect this team. We got this

Gonna be a lot of pissed off Tiger fans if that happens. I think it's funny that Bama has as many question marks as us goin into the season and they are playoff locks while we are gonna finish fifth.

don't be upset. what he predicted can absolutely be in the realm of possibility. is it likely? no, but is it possible? hell yes. our QB play this year is not going to be very good. our defense will have to play at a 2011 level for us to win 10 games.

They are arguing now. McElroy says that we beat Bama but lose to Arkansas, MSU, Ole Miss and Auburn. Oops! Now he says that we beat MSU.

Palmer normally has nothing but praise for us. I don't think I've ever heard nothing but respect for LSU come out of his mouth on air. He's simply doing what all the other media are doing...he's going with what he knows over unknowns.

The Mississippi schools have known starters and known talent returning. Although we return the same amount of starters as Alabama, although we both replacing QBs and skilled positions, he and other media types are remembering us losing big time last year with a decent offense, excellent receivers, good qb and proven rb.

We have question marks. I have faith in Cameron. I have faith we can surprise everyone...we sure as Hell have the talent, but we have proven nothing so far.

Come again...we lost both starting defensive tackles.

And no, don't claim that they will be better without Ego and Freak...if that were the case, their backups would have been starters last year.

The fact remains, we have NO CLUE how the interior defensive line will play this year.

We also will be HEAVILY dependent on the play of four freshmen on offense to have any ability to move the ball.

Ole Miss returns their QB for his third year as a starter...and he torched LSU last year. They return virtually their entire defense as well.

State has the best QB in the SEC in all likelihood along with perhaps the best defensive line.

Auburn will be good and we play them at Auburn (therefore we play against the refs too).

Bama will be Bama.

Do I think we finish 5th? No.

Do I think it is laughable or impossible? No.

Palmer is actually probably the best prognosticator at ESPN when it comes to college football.

He's actually my favorite CFB analyst. He knows his shite.

I'm surprised, and don't agree with him, but as another poster said, this is the best chance MSU has had at knocking us off in quite a while.

That game as the SEC home opener is a big plus for us. I would be pretty damn nervous about that game if it was in Starkville.

And OM beat us last year and will be better while we will take a step back in some key areas. Having this game at home is another huge plus imo or we could very possibly be dogs in this one.

Overall I like the schedule.

Can't wait to see how this season unfolds and which players step up for us.

Going to be a very fun and interesting year
