So I've recently started going back to gym regularly and have found that cycling is less boring then running on the treadmill. However, I have no idea how to gage what's a good distance to aim for. I want it to be comparable to 4-6 miles of running. Thanks for the help!

According to some people on here, anything less than running outdoors is for fat pussies.

10-15 miles is usually what I do.

Not sure if you're trying to lose weight but if so all you need to do is eat at a deficit

You burn more calories and it's also easier on the joints.

Get a good bike and go outside. Better workout. More enjoyable. Actual speed.

Expresso Bike

I use this bike and try to go between 10 and 15 miles. It's kind of like virtual reality and it logs all of your data in the cloud. It's pretty cool. Check to see if your gym has one.

The thing that sucked most for me switching to bike riding from running/joggin was the arse part. Them seats are not comfy... least not any that I have found.

I can ride for days on my saddle. Get a right saddle and set it up properly.
