1) Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints: The eight-time Pro Bowler was absolutely brilliant under pressure in 2013, posting a 118.0 passer rating (69.2 percent completion rate, 15:3 TD-to-INT ratio) when trailing by eight points or fewer. Brees also sparkled last fall in the red zone (23:1 TD-to-INT ratio) and the two-minute drill (65.1 percent completion rate, 6:1 TD-to-INT ratio). Nothing new for a guy who has authored 34 game-winning drives and 23 fourth-quarter comebacks over the course of his illustrious career.

He's pretty incredible in the red zone with Graham.

It's one of situations where we like to put him out really wide

I forgot how great Brees played in the 2nd half against Philly (terrible 1st half).

10/12 for 152 yards and a TD.

Honestly how the team played for the Philly game was the most complete version of the team we fielded all year. Until Lewis went down late in the 3rd we were beating them in all facets of the game. Brees wasn't winning that game for us in the first half, but he didn't have to. No one player should be in that position on a truly good team. All he had to do was be a good steward with the ball and make few mistakes.

Id like to see the guy get a couple of MVPs (not to mention another SB or two) before he hangs 'em up. He's done just about everything that one guy can possibly do. He'll need a little help with the rest.

Speaking of which, those people who made all those threads about his contract look pretty stupid now considering Brees' contract is a bargain compared to some of the contracts given out to lesser QBs.

On that note, I'd like to take another opportunity to laugh at the Falcons.

That is a great point, but to be fair.....a lot of guys were upset with Brees for another reason. Brees had stated that he did not want his contract to be a distraction, and he did not want his contract to hinder the team cap wise. That is what frustrated many fans (including me)

I had no problem with him wanting to be the highest paid. I love the guy, but it frustrates me when athletes talk out of both sides of their mouths. Most if not all Athletes do this though.

Looking at that list I refuse to believe Brady is not getting something from behind the curtain either now or later.
Hell he barely makes more than Smith! Would he really be leaving 8-9 mil every year on the table?

I think some people would disagree with this because they only judge a qbs clutchness by his ability to win close games in the playoffs. By that definition, the most clutch are like Eli, Flacco, or Tom Brady...a decade ago.

I said after he signed that it would be considered a bargain in a few years...

the year the Saints won the Super Bowl did Brees not have 10 TD and 0 interceptions in the postseason run?

what else would people want him to do there?
