Surprised no one's posted that Cochran has a 60% approval rating from Obama voters and a low 40's% from Romney voters.

Surprised that PPP did a poll today that showed McDaniel with a 59 percent disapproval rating versus 24 percent approval. Hope he gets a new election. Will get a mudhole stomped in him.

I am angry. Little shite wannabe tries to take down a great statesman.

ETA - same poll shows Cochran up 50-24 on Childers, and McDaniel down 37-36 to Childers. Vote wisely.

McDaniel may be a slimy and racist piece of shite but Thad has no room to call himself a "great statesman" when he's an incumbent that stayed in congress for far too long to not let fresh ideas and new blood circulate into DC. He's also one of the biggest enablers of welfare queens in Missisisippi of all places and big on crony capitalism. He is not a small gov't conservative despite being in a party that's supposed to stand for that.

Will be appropriations chair if Repubs take senate. Senile with handlers beats batshit crazy every time in my book. FYI, I actually wanted TP before the election.

And Mary here in Louisiana would be energy chair if she wins and I don't give a shite about that.

Look, I understand McDaniel was a horrible candidate in this one but that's what this was, a loud pos losing to a quiet pos like Thad.

And how long after McD got into the Senate would it take - for him to try to introduce a bill to keep blacks from voting? Kinda like he's trying to do now.

You claim to be TP small government, but can't stop sucking Thad's dick. It's funny to me. You sound like every political science major at ole miss. We get it, McDaniel was not the best candidate in the world, but that doesn't make Thad a great statesman. If every senator behaved like Thad, this country would be screwed.

Big difference Mary is a Dem and votes the party line. Thad doesn't. And even if you call him a RINO, still is 90% on the good guys side.

I'm a liberal. I like Cochran and despise McDaniel. I just like Childers more.

The poll showed that 30+ % of black voters would vote Cochran in the general election also. I don't think McDaniel realizes that some of them actually really do like Thad.

Thad is a moderate and appeals to moderate conservatives and moderate Dems. That's a fact, he isn't small govt conservative for sure but he is also not a liberal.

He has done good and bad things for the state. I liked McDaniel until he started throwing a bitch fit just because blacks voted for Thad. He has ruined his political career IMO.

Thad is similar to the old school democrats which is what many Southerners like. If it wasn't for Dems going hard left on social issues the South would still be blue or swing states. Fiscal conservatism is just starting to take hold in the South

Get your race baiting arse out of here.

Piece of shite race baiting like this has no place here. Go do that shite somewhere else like at an Obama rally. Don't do that race baiting shite here.

He's not "my boy" and neither is thad. I happened to vote for mcdaniel because he would vote more with my favorite senators.

Had he won I wouldn't start a thread every 2 days asking where thad supporters are. It's pretty obvious you're obsessed with thad. If that's the case there's no way you can say you're TP.

Not only that but he has also forfeited any right to whine about the trajectory our country is headed down in the future.

Especially when Haley Barbour appoints his nephew to replace Thad in 2016.

Thad is a big government politician. He, and others like him, want more power in Washington. He would prefer to pick and choose winners rather than let the market decide. He wants that capability, just like the vast majority of Senators no matter the party. He also loves his name on the side of buildings.

And I keep hearing how big of a POS McDaniel is, but I've never been presented with evidence showing he is such. It may have been a miscalculation to contest the runoff to the extent that he has. That remains to be seen. However, I would call the tactics used by the Cochran cpaign far more indicative of a POS than simply following legal proceedings to contest an election, which McD is well within his rights to do.
