The ATL Thread: All-Star Break Edition

Interesting first half for our Barves.
Tied for 1st place with the Gnats at the break with a 52-43 record.
We're sending 3 Barves to Minneapolis (Kimbrel, Teheran, and Freeman).
What's gone right so far:
- Freeman, JUp, JHey, and CJ playing to potential
- Gattis lighting it up at the plate
- Teheran looks like the ace we hoped he would become
- La Stella proves to be great call-up
- Aaron Harang having several surprisingly good outings
- Albeit small sample size, BJ leading off effectively
What's gone wrong:
- Injuries to starting pitching (Medlen, Beachy, and Floyd)
- Mike Minor has been really bad
- Ineffectiveness of bullpen
- Bench bats have been terrible
- Team prone to long stretches of not playing well
Team needs:
- Bullpen arms, especially lefties
- Serviceable bench bats
- Joint suicide of Jordan Schaefer and Dan Uggla
2nd half should be interesting as well and a continuing dog fight to the finish with Washington.

Nope but I'll be watching ze Barves in San Diego in a few weeks and then in Arlington in September.

I might go to Pittsburgh on my week off if I can find a decent way to get there from NYC without a car or dropping a fortune. Probably the ballpark I most want to see.

Nice little write up. Ervin Santana could probably be included in what's gone wrong. He was amazing early in the season but has been pretty terrible since.
