X-Men: First Class Writers Take on Power Rangers

As announced back in May, Lionsgate has plans to bring Saban's hit children's series Power Rangers to the big screen. Today, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the production has signed X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz and has brought Roberto Orci (Star Trek Into Darkness, Transformers) on board as executive producer.
Saban launched "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" as a live-action TV series more than 20 years ago, and the series has been in continuous production ever since. It has subsequently grown into one of the world’s most popular and recognizable brands, with toys, apparel, costumes, video games, DVD's, comic books and other merchandise.
20th Century Fox previously released two feature films, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995 and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997.

Maybe they can do a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle/ GI Joe/ Power Rangers crossover so I can given 3 times as less fricks.

I'd be shocked if they made it for an adult audience. Best case is it be portrayed on the level of the transformers movies. Wost case is it is portrayed on the level of Girl Meets World.

The Power Rangers were the tipping point for our culture. Everything went downhill with America after their arrival.
