Les Miles has confirmed that Foster will be on FB team as a QB in August.
Somewhat interesting news, but he likely never see's the field so only so interesting

Everyone keeps saying 3 Qb's....not sure why. With Foster, LSU has 6 QB's. Yes, only 2 scholarship.

Hopefully it won't be necessary for Foster to play, but good to have him in case of a nightmare scenario with Jennings and Harris.

Bergeron the walk on we just got from JUCO is a beast, as far as walk ons go.

Foster is a tremendous athlete, so it would make for an intersting position battle with Bergeron, if that ever took place, which none of us hopes does.
But it's great to have that type of depth available.

Is Foster not going to be on scholarship? I just assumed that the reason he left the football team in the first place was because he had earned a partial baseball scholarship. Is still just walk-on?

I think he gets 2 years to play 2. He was a freshman on the 2011 team, and you usually only get 5 years total.

pretty sure he left the football team because he was like 5th or 6th on the depth chart and, at the time, had a much much higher ceiling in baseball, and imo still does, regardless of how bad a season he had last year

Quick question. Isn't there a rule a scholarship player must be on a football scholarship to play football. Is foster on a scholarship for baseball? I remember it bring referred to as the bear Bryant rule. He would over sign by football players having scholarships in track and other sports. I know you can be on football scholarship and play other sports but not vice versa to my knowledge.

yes, if he's on scholarship and plays football, his scholarship has to be a football scholarship. however, if he's a walk-on for both sports, that's fine
