Not worth it on paper, but it's still a parting gift for all he's done. And it's still less money than what he had before.

Heat still have like 7 mil left in cap space.

He's an old, old 32. So in 4 years, 82 regular season games, 328 total, what's the over/under for how many wade actually plays in? 164?

Wow. I was thinking 4yrs/52 mil or so.

Props to the Heat for making that right though. Wade opted out of over 40 mil that he was due the next 2 years.

Lifetime achievement award for him, future albatross contract for Miami

Doesn't matter too much I guess, they aren't winning a title anytime soon with that roster.

All they really did was sign him to a 2 year 20 mil extension since he opted out.

the idea of a "parting gift" contract is fricking asinine. Miami would be better off letting him walk then paying him 15mm per.

Kobe and Wade = stupid fricking contracts
Dirk and Duncan = brilliant contracts

it blows my mind how nba players go broke, then I saw that Dwade tithes 10% to a church in Chicago...essentially, making some lucky reverend a millionaire.

So I guess some sleazy huckster in an Italian suit that lives luxuriously in the hood of chicago, just went "cha ching"
