Where in the hell is this guy? Does he have a message, or is he just going to let this election be a referendum on mary landrieu? He came out blazing, but now you may see an ad every now and then, while Landrieu has them on nightly.

well he's part of the GOP, so now I've come to expect him to cater to Mary's every strength and not put up a hard fight because he "doesn't want to be mean"

It's really disappointing. I'm seeing Mary run negative ads on Cassidy left and right and he isn't responding. This is when he needs to get his legs out in the race and start airing his ads. I think I've only seen two or three so far. These ads are going to stick in people's minds if he's complacent.

The Romney campaign thought the same thing and this allowed democrats to run a blitz of negative ads virtually unopposed defining Romney and the republicans to an insurmountable perception that was cemented into people's minds. The results spoke for itself in November.

I know that in North La, I don't think I've seen a single Cassidy ad.

The guy has a lower profile than Bigfoot in a ghillie suit.

He had all the momentum in the world, and now he is close to playing catch up again. By the time he runs ads answering landrieus claims, people will have forgotten why they had a negative view on him in the first place. The biggest key for a relative unknown statewide is getting his name out, he's not doing that at all currently.

The problem is that we've seen this shite before, and it always end poorly for the Republican.

I don't know about you, but I've lost all hope in the GOP learning from past mistakes. They've been perpetual doormats, yet oddly enough, they eat their own.

Yea, I'm pissed at that fool as well, but Cassidy has to help himself at some point.

Truth.

Give me a guy that's 95% conservative, smart and electable as opposed to a guy that's 100% conservative, dumb and unelectable.

By November, the frickwits of this state will be saying "Cassidy voted for Obamacare-light! Ya jes caint tres Cassidy!"

And Landrieu will win. Again. Dammit.

Would you rather him burn through all his cash now then disappear before in November when there is a runoff?

Mary Landrieu has TWICE the money as Bill Cassidy. He can't take out a bunch of ads now cause he doesn't have the money.

He is going to wait until Mary releases her FEC Quarterlies, then base his strategy on that.

Mary is an incumbent, meaning she has a war chest, and a lot of friends. The electorate loves in incumbents, but she has a 47-49 F/U range. Meaning she's spent millions of dollars, and her favoribility is still underwater.

I'm very sure all of you are very successful campaign managers that have won federal races before, so I'm sure you're all experts.

North LA, with the exception of the old Cleo Fields electorate, is pretty far from being Landrieu's base. The BR-Acadiana-Calcasieu landscape will decide this race.
