Yea, dropping my 48 Johnson down to 4500 rpms or so instead of full throttle cuts my fuel consumption by damn near 25%

I do like being able to work on a two stroke. I remember the first time I had issues with a four stroke. I popped the top, looked around for a second and promptly put it back on.

I pick up tons by raising the motors up while I'm running. Makes a huge diff when you don't have the lower unit dragging 1 ft or more below the boat acting like an anchor. Jackplates are not just for speed.
