For the FIBA World Cup tournament.

Will need to be down to 12 for the tournament:

Who would you have on the roster and what would the depth chart be?

UPDATE:

Love and Griffin are out.

Wall and Millsap have been added.

So 19 guys for 12 spots.

PG: Curry, Irving, Lillard
SG: Harden, Thompson
SF: Durant, George,
PF: Love, Griffin
C: Davis

Those are the 10 who need to be there. I would have liked Aldridge or Leonard over any of the rest, but I'd take Drummond and Beal/Parsons for the last 2.

ETA: Only 2 guys I don't want at all are Rose (he shouldn't make his return in an international tournament where his opponents will play dirty) and Cousins (no need for headcases with the world's most talented roster).

That's tough, especially at PG. Not sure how healthy Rose is

Lillard
Irving
Rose

Curry
Harden

Durant
George

Love
Griffin

AD
Cousins

Toss up between Thompson/Beal/Drummond for last spot.

ETA: Only put Rose on there because I'm assuming that he's going to be on the team no matter what.

too old, possibly? this is prepping the team for 2016, and he probably wouldn't make that team. he would be 31 by then

Starting 5

AD
Love
KD
Harden
Curry

Bench
Griffin
Cousins
George
Lillard
Irving
Thompson
Parsons

I would have a tough time leaving Drummond off. I like Parson's versatility. Thompson would be on the team for his shooting obviosuly, and this team has plenty of it.

So many PG's and SG's that don't play defense

Dumb John Wall didn't get the invite.

PG: Curry/Lillard/Irving
SG: Harden/Beal
SF: Durant/George
PF: Love/Griffin
C: Davis/Cousins/Drummond

Davis can play PF/C, Pel fans drool about what could have been when putting on paper the defense of Drummond/Davis. We could actually see it happen.

The lack of perimeter defense is scary. Curry, Irving, Lillard, and Harden are turnstiles. And Davis would be the only rim protector when those guys get dusted.

There's the potential for some of these international teams to make us look really bad with drive and kicks.

Yeah, that's why I would consider starting George and Durant together and having Harden come in off the bench for extended minutes in that Dwayne Wade role.

Its been kind of hinted today that the Spurs won't let him play

Josh Newman @Joshua_Newman
Jerry Colangelo paints a picture that the absence of Kawhi Leonard was team-imposed by the Spurs. He was even less-thrilled re: Aldridge.

He would've been perfect, though. This team needs more defense.

Also, Aldridge is done:

Jeff Zillgitt @JeffZillgitt
Jerry Colangelo said LaMarcus Aldridge told USA Basketball he's not available for FIBA World Cup. Could be last straw for Aldridge/re: USAB
Been dodging team usa for years
