Pretty nice looking gastropub that's got O Brah written all over it. Looks like it's got about 30 taps from the pictures i saw. Plenty of TVs and a patio. Looks like a nice place to catch a game. Can't wait for one of you food experts to go check it out and report back.

Is it open? I never drive down Oak, I always take Willow.

Where'd you see the pictures? A less-smokey beer alternative to Cooter Brown's would be nice for the hood.

Old write-up from November.
I laughed.
Old write-up from November.
quote:
Co-owner Katie Winters tells the Uptown Messenger, "Whereas Oak is kind of feminine, light and airy, Ale will be kind of masculine, with more beers on tap." It's all fun and man caves, but blink your eye and things have gone from broheim to borderline (or blatantly?) sexist: "Ale's drink menu will focus on beer, bourbon, scotch and other drinks that traditionally appeal to a male audience." And this: "The only complaint we've gotten about Oak is that it caters too much to women. This will cater more to men."
I laughed.

A contractor I deal with had some pics on his phone. Nice looking spot, bulldog type beer selection.

When is this place opening? I'll volunteer to go check it out.

Still waiting on some permits. Maybe this weekend or early next week.

+1
I drive past there daily. I've seen some construction lately, that must be it. If that's it, it's Riverside of Oak. I'll take a look this afternoon and report what I see.
Sounds like an interesting place.

Thanks! I'm def. down to check this place out. It will be nice to have a spot between (quality wise) Oak/Cure and say Bruno's (terrible beer).
Good for da hood!

Yeah, that's a bad selection of taps.
Posted on 7/14/14 at 10:48 am to Matisyeezy
Yikes. That tap selection certainly won't make me driver over to check it out. Figures. What a buzz kill.

Yeah, looks lame. Just need to send one of the Mavens to fix that.

I think RDV has better taps and their taps are weak. Of course, I can walk to Ale. But still, that's disappointing. The way it was marketed sounded a lot more promising.

The Vous tap lines are freaking nasty.
